Water Gate Remote Monitoring
Many canal gate sites spread telemetry—comms, access, power, remote control, water level, and gate opening—across per-site SCADA tables; operators lacked a consolidated view and needed CCTV for field judgment. We built a remote monitoring platform with telemetry reads, live streaming, and workstation-scoped menus—dashboard and per-site views in one portal.

Outcomes
50+ monitored stations
- Workstation groups 17
Scenarios & highlights
- — System admins maintain accounts and workstation codes, and monitor all sites on the dashboard
- — Workstation operators see only authorized canal sites in the sidebar and view video plus telemetry per site
Challenge
1. Gate facilities are widespread—field device status hard to consolidate. 2. Telemetry (comms, access, power, remote, level, opening) sits in per-site tables—no unified UI. 3. Workstation staff need only their jurisdiction—access must be scoped. 4. Field judgment needs video alongside gauges on one screen.
Solution
Built an ASP.NET Core monitoring platform: read latest SCADA records per site code into unified level, opening, and status fields with caching; dashboard table summarizes all sites; per-site page streams CCTV via HLS alongside device lights and gate opening table; account workstation code scopes sidebar menu groups.
Results
Scattered sites consolidated on a dashboard—water levels, status lights, and gate openings in one table. Per-site telemetry standardized—latest SCADA reads by site code with caching. Jurisdiction enforced via account workstation codes—sidebar shows authorized groups only. Video and gauges on one page—HLS CCTV stream with device lights and gate opening table.
